An Obedient Heart ❤️

Do not work only while being watched, in order to please men, but as slaves of Christ, do God’s will from your heart. Ephesians 6:6.

My heart was convicted this morning as I read about a woman by the name of Fanny Cosby, who was born blind, yet dedicated her life towards working to expand God’s kingdom, writing about nine thousand hymns throughout her lifetime drawing many lost souls to the Lord. The interesting part is that many of her writings, she freely gave away to others, allowing them to publish without her ever receiving any credit. It did not matter to her who received the credit–what mattered was that God received the glory!

Heavenly Father,

This morning I surrender every area of my life into your hands, my fears, my dreams and all of my plans. I ask that you examine my heart and motives and remove anything that is toxic or unpleasing in your sight. Help me to walk in obedience in all that you ask me to do. Where you lead I will follow–less of me and more of you!

In Jesus’ precious name I pray. ❤️

But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God” Ruth 1:16.

Rejection is a part of life. We have all experienced it in one form or another. A parent who’s approval or love you were never able to gain, a partner who decided they no longer loved you or wished to remain in a committed relationship, or even a friend in whom you’d confided in–suddenly and unexpectedly backstabbed you. Rejection on any level, can be hurtful and painful.

What if Ruth had walked away?

I believe that God is closely watching how WE react to that offense, deep hurt and disappointment. Ruth got it Right! She refused to allow Naomi’s brokenness and bitterness to turn her away. She held on to the truth of what she had been taught and refused to let go of Naomi and her God.

Ruth rejected rejection! And the Lord honored Ruth’s obedience, faithfulness and heart of compassion with a generation of blessings! 🌷🌸🌷

“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope” Romans 15:4.

“Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up” Proverbs 12:25.

Sometimes all that we need is for just one person to believe in us and in our dreams.

We thank you for calling us to be different and setting us apart, to speak words of hope & encouragement into broken and hurting hearts. Please help us remain compassionate, gentle, loving, wise and kind. That the lives of others may be changed & transformed by the testimony of our lives. Thank you always for all the wonders that you do. Less of us Lord–and more of you! 💜

Moving forward in Christ

IMG_2182Blessed is the one who reads and hears the Words of this prophecy, and the ones keeping the things written in it, for the time is near. Revelation 1:3.

A few weeks ago I had dream that as  I was walking with some people, suddenly my body began to rapidly ascend upward into the heavens. The people I had been walking with at the moment had not ascended upward with me but had stayed behind and continued walking about on earth. I remember looking down–trying to make out the facial images of those that had stayed behind, with no success. I woke up with such an urgency to share the truth of what is to come.

And so with urgency I declare, “Let us Repent– for the kingdom of God is near!

Heavenly Father,

Please help us to be heaers and doers of your word. Pierce our hearts Lord–ripping pride, fear and doubt out by the root. Remind us of who we are in Christ: Called, Qualified and Chosen–for such a time as this. Please change and transform us into the men and women you created us to be. We want to make it to the promised land and bring as many with us as we possibly can. We love you Lord and trust your perfect plan. In Jesus’ mighty & precious name we pray. 💜

Lighting each other’s candles

“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will too be refreshed” Proverbs 11:25.

I wonder how differently things would have played out for King Saul had he not only been obedient to God’s instructions, but had he also embraced the big calling upon David’s life–as apposed to doing everything in his power to try to stop it. We can only imagine how differently the story would have unfolded, had the king repented from his sin, accepted his short-comings and extended a hand of grace to the anointed, young man “after God’s own heart.”

In Jeremiah 17:10, the Lord boldly declares, “I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.”

Our lights do not dim by lighting each other’s candles. We rise by lifting up others. A generous heart will always prosper–and love always wins! ❤️

Heavenly Father,

Help us to be men and women readily available to extend a hand of grace to others in need. Let us do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but instead let us consider the needs of others more important than our own. Let us bless whom you tell us to bless, without any hesitation and in a spirit of truth & love. Please keep our hearts genuine & pure and may we shine for your glory. Help us to get this right Lord! In Jesus’ mighty & precious name we pray. 💜

Positioned for a Miracle

Are you believing God for the impossible? Have you positioned yourself to receive your miracle? Today I encourage you to set aside some time and meditate on who God is and on what he has done for you in the past. Begin to thank him for what is to come and shake off all the other voices and distractions around you. Believe what God had spoken to You–those words were given to You and no one can take them from you!

Faith is the key to receiving your miracle. You have to believe in something so strongly that you are willing to lose everything for it!

“A woman which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour” Matthew 9:20-22.

Heavenly Father,

Let this day be a day of great breakthroughs in our lives. Keep us strong in faith as we position to receive our miracles. Empower us to press forward in all that you have called us to do. We love you Lord , we thank you for all that is to come and are believing in you for the impossible. In Jesus’ precious name we pray. 💜

God is Able

To do so much more than we can even dream or imagine 💕

When all else fails, trust in the words God spoken to you; Because He is able…

“To do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us” Ephesians 3:20.

Heavenly Father,

We thank you for another precious day of life. Please help to keep us strong in our faith as we continue believing you for the impossible because we know that you are able to do far more than are our human minds can comprehend or even imagine. With expectant hearts we believe it done–in Jesus’ mighty and precious name. 💜

Being Still

And know that He is in control; because He who has promised is faithful & true. Let us not be like the Israelites in the desert, but let us remember All that He has done for us in the past.

“The LORD will fight for you while you keep still” ExoduS 14:14.

Heavenly Father,

We humbly come before you this morning thanking you for all that you have done and all that you have promised to do. With expectanct hearts and in stillness before your presence, we patiently wait to see all of your promises unfold, and we believe it all done in the precious and powerful name of your son Jesus. 💛

Submissive Wife 👑

“Let the king give her royal position to someone else who is better than she; then all the women will respect their husbands, from the least to the greatest” (Esther 1:19c, 1:20b, NIV).

In the book of Esther we learn of a young woman rich in faith, who wins favor in the eyes of many important people, including King Xerxes. Esther is then chosen by the king to replace disgraced Queen Vashti; but ultimately chosen by God to save her Jewish people.

As I reflect on the events that transpired In the book of Esther, I am left to wonder, “How did Queen Vashti get it all wrong?”

On the evening she found herself dethroned, she had been busy hosting a banquet for the women in the royal palace of King Xerxes. Queen Vashti had it all: beauty, prestige and wealth; but she lacked reverence and respect for her husband. Her disobedience and inability to submit to the order placed by God resulted resulted in her being stripped of her royal crown and prestigious position, never again allowed to enter the presence of the king.

“But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God” 1 Corinthians 11:3, ESV.

“Everything that you wish a woman would be, be that woman” Lisa Bevere.

Heavenly Father,

Help us to become the submissive wives you created us to be. Although this task may seem a lot easier said than done, we know that anything is possible  with Christ. Lord please help us to be women who are quick to listen and slow to speak. May we gain favor in your eyes and see changes in our husbands as we honor you with our lives. Help us to get this right Lord! In Jesus’ name we pray. ❤️
