“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go” Joshua 1:9.
Thank you for loving me the way that you do. Your love overwhelms me and brings me to my knees. Who but you alone Lord could be so gracious and attentive to all of my needs? Thank you for lifting and believing in me when I am unable to believe in myself–help me Lord to represent you well. Where you lead, I will follow. In fear, I will step out in faith–and Do it Afraid! 🦋🌵🎍
“Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come” Proverbs 31:25 JKB.
Chasing after a dream in my heart–on this new journey I prepare to embark. Stepping completely out of my comfort zone, letting go of the only security I know. Holding onto a promise that I heard you speak, running with fearless faith, believing you will provide for all of my needs. Not doubting for even a moment that what you have promised I will not see–nor regretting for a second that when you called, I answered, “Here I am Lord use me!” Allowing you to guide my steps along the path of peace. 💕
“Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe” Proverbs 2:11. 🌵
“That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10 (NIV)
Recently I found myself in the midst of a sudden, severe and difficult storm. I had been persecuted, falsely accused and even ridiculed. I wrestled with feelings of resentment, anger and betrayal. With my eyes swelled up with tears and a heavy heart I whispered, “I trust you Lord!”
The storm did not end when I prayed that simple prayer. In fact, I still find myself within the storm, but I remain confident in knowing that my steps are ordained by the Lord—For there is almost always a “Breakdown before a Breakthrough!” Continue reading “Breakdown before the Breakthrough”
Do not work only while being watched, in order to please men, but as slaves of Christ, do God’s will from your heart. Ephesians 6:6.
My heart was convicted this morning as I read about a woman by the name of Fanny Cosby, who was born blind, yet dedicated her life towards working to expand God’s kingdom, writing about nine thousand hymns throughout her lifetime drawing many lost souls to the Lord. The interesting part is that many of her writings, she freely gave away to others, allowing them to publish without her ever receiving any credit. It did not matter to her who received the credit–what mattered was that God received the glory!
This morning I surrender every area of my life into your hands, my fears, my dreams and all of my plans. I ask that you examine my heart and motives and remove anything that is toxic or unpleasing in your sight. Help me to walk in obedience in all that you ask me to do. Where you lead I will follow–less of me and more of you!
In Jesus’ precious name I pray. ❤️
“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living” Psalm 27:13. 🌺🌷🍃🌺🌱
This morning I awake, with a spirit of expectancy flowing through my veins. Thanking you in advance for the miracles that are to come. You spoke the words–and we believed and now we stand positioned and ready to receive. Thank you Lord for this new season of abundance, peace, joy and rest. For where ever you desire to lead–even in fear I surrender giving you my best Yes!
In Jesus’ mighty name I pray.🌺
But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God” Ruth 1:16.
Rejection is a part of life. We have all experienced it in one form or another. A parent who’s approval or love you were never able to gain, a partner who decided they no longer loved you or wished to remain in a committed relationship, or even a friend in whom you’d confided in–suddenly and unexpectedly backstabbed you. Rejection on any level, can be hurtful and painful.
What if Ruth had walked away?
I believe that God is closely watching how WE react to that offense, deep hurt and disappointment. Ruth got it Right! She refused to allow Naomi’s brokenness and bitterness to turn her away. She held on to the truth of what she had been taught and refused to let go of Naomi and her God.
Ruth rejected rejection! And the Lord honored Ruth’s obedience, faithfulness and heart of compassion with a generation of blessings! 🌷🌸🌷
“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope” Romans 15:4.
“What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name” Revelation 3:7-8, NIV.
This scripture reminds us, that the doors the Lord opens–no man can close. Our trust cannot be based on what we hear or see, but rather on what the Lord has spoken and promised. For he is faithful, just and a promise-keeper. He will do all that he has promised to do in the lives of his faithful children, because he is a rewarded of those who diligently seek him.
Thank you for all of the doors that you have opened, and for the ones that you have closed. Today I chose to mediate on all that you have promised—believing it already done in the precious name of your son. When evil tries to arise and hinder your plan, I will chose to place my trust in you!

“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” Hebrews 13:5
When God has a plan for our lives, He does not give up on us. Many times it is tempting to flee from God because its easier to run away from what God wants us to do or we may not like what He wants for our lives. But running away from God and His plans will only lead to pain.
During a season of storms in my life (one that I battled for many years) I was lost, broken, hurting. It had become the norm in my life but that was all I knew at the time. I remember crying and praying to God often to help me through it and to change this person that was hurting me and to reveal the truth to me. God spoke and told me what I needed to do and revealed the truth to me in more ways than one. But, to me, that wasn’t enough. I was in denial, I was blindsided and I was disobedient. Why? Because it is not what I wanted. What I wanted for my life is not what God wanted for me so I chose to flee from God. It was easier to follow the way of the world and difficult to follow God.
God brings pain into our lives to wake us up and get our attention. All we need to do is listen. Even if its not what we want in life, just listen.
My Father never gave up on me even through my disobedience. God spoke “someone is waiting for you on the other side of your disobedience”. All along when I was praying for God to change the person who was hurting me, someone was praying for me and I was praying for my future husband without knowing. God had a plan for me and He has a plan for each one of us. A plan better than the one we have planned. It is going to be a painful walk at times and may seem as though you cant go on but at the end everything will be better if you just trust in Him.
Obey what God is asking from you. Obedience is the key to blessings. I had to take a step of faith; one that did not make sense at the time but God spoke and I listened. The devil was fighting hard to keep me but he lost that battle because my Lord kept fighting for me. He brought me out of my misery and changed my life for the better. He brought my husband. And has shown me to follow His will, not mine all the days of my life. We may give up on God, but He will never give up on us.
Romans 8:18-“the pain youve been feeling, cant compare to the joy thats coming”.
“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong” 1 Cor 16:13 NIV.
Even if you fail a thousand times, dust your self off and get back up; we only fail when we quit trying. And whenever past mistakes begin to replay in your mind, pause for a moment and remember all great things take time. Speak to the impossible and remind yourself who you are in Christ. Thank you Lord for your promise to never leave our side.
In my own strength it is not possible but, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13. 💕
