“Long ago I told you what was going to happen. Then suddenly I took action, and all my predictions came true” Isaiah 48:3.

Has God spoken to you former things that have yet to pass? Are you believing in God for the impossible? When we are obedient, God’s love shows up in unexpected ways–at unexpected times. God is a God of suddenly; and suddenly He can transform our unfortunate circumstances into something beautiful and glorious.

In you and you alone we trust; and we patiently wait for you to suddenly show up and turn our situations around. With expectant hearts–we await our miracles. In Jesus’ precious and mighty name we pray. ❤️

He makes us Brave

Several months ago, when my 19-year old son decided he would join the US Navy, I was overjoyed. I could not be more proud of him. I was thrilled he was receptive to my choices of where to be stationed after boot-camp graduation. We talked about how I would visit and maybe send his brother to stay with him for a few weeks this summer. I could already envision myself visiting his base in Hawaii or Florida. ☀🌴

The excitement would soon feel bittersweet as I received a call from my son a few days prior to graduation telling me he had not been granted any 3 of his “wish-list” choices and would be stationed in Japan instead. I remember the knot I felt in my stomach while talking to him on the phone. But it had been weeks since we’d spoken, and I sensed he was probably feeling about as nervous as I was, so I kept my composure and reassured him of how exciting Japan would be!

His graduation was surreal. The 14-day pass home was the best. But now the time has arrived, and tomorrow my sailor will embark on a new and exciting journey.

Son, I love you and will miss you beyond words. Always strive to do what is right, even when you feel no-one is looking, for God sees it all. Never forget the words spoken to you by the Lord:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). ⚓

In our weakest moments, He is our strength. God uses the weak to lead the strong, he examines the heart of an individual and uses those with a heart after him. ❤

“From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do” (Isaiah 46:11, NIV).
