Graceful Goodbye ๐Ÿ•Š

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland” Isaiah 43:18-19.

Recently, I began to feel as though my season was nearing its end in a specific area of my life but I needed to be sure what I was feeling was from God. I sought counsel from a couple of elders in my church (my spiritual mentors), because the last thing I would ever want to do, is to step a single foot outside of God’s perfect will for my life. Lord knows I have circled the same mountain for far too many years–and I needed some solid wisdom. The words I received pierced right through my heart–as though a light bulb had just been turned on, instantly I felt at peace and full of understanding.

When your season is over, God will confirm. He does not elevate you, to then bring you low. God will take you “from glory to glory!” It will not be a shameful end, but rather a graceful goodbye!

Everyone shall know, “I am with you!” Isaiah 41:10.

  1. That Isaiah passage has come up so many times in my life in the last few months. I can feel this season of my life coming to a close but I am anxious as to what is next. Isaiah reminds me wait on God – that he is making something new. I did a post on this a few months ago: https://140characterchristian.com/2017/12/06/building-a-stream-of-life-giving-water-in-a-desert/. Thanks for the encouragement and those words of assurance that God does graceful goodbyes.
